Stephen Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California. He was born to Abdul Fattah Jandali and John Carol Sheebel, who had abandoned him to adopt, who was then unmarried. He was raised by a working class couple, Paul and Clara Jobs, and grew up in Mountain View, California. He attended Homestead High School in Cupertino, California, and in 1972 attended Reed College, Portland, Oregon.
